For
all boaters
traveling to other countries on the water, Float Plan Registration
, at your request, will notify the authorities in participating countries
that you are boating to, of your pending arrival. Through our service
you can give the authorities information that should help you clear
quickly at your port of entry. This will save clearing time at the
dock.
To
do this you need to file your float plan in the normal manner,
then click on the AVA Button and enter the name of
the country you are going to. The form that is displayed will be made
available to the government of your destination country. Once you have
filled in the AVA form you can click send, then download the customs
documents of that country, which you can print and fill out en route.
Any information that you choose to make available to the destination
country through our service is the same information that you would
otherwise be required to give upon your arrival.
We
do not retain the information you enter in the AVA system. It is made
available only to your destination country.
